2015 Birmingham Summer Movie Series and Specials2015 SUMMER MOVIE SERIES0AAND SPECIALS

Out of school means making plans for family summer fun!  On those hot days you need an indoor option that does not cost too much.  The Birmingham area has a lot to offer this summer in the way of kids summer movies and specials.  The Alabama Theatre has a robust list of movies for the summer, many of which will appeal to the whole family.  Be sure to catch their “Throwback Thursdays – Kids Club” for some great movies from the past.

Local area chain theaters are back in full force with their weekly summer flicks for children.  Be sure to check the listings below for all the latest info on showings.  While none of the chains are offering free movies this summer, they all are offering very budget-friendly prices.  Some packages even include the popcorn and a soda!

Last, don’t forget to check out local municipalities for free movies in the park this summer.  Alabaster will be again hosting “Movies in the Park” at Veteran’s Park in Alabaster off Hwy 119.  Helena is back with “Sundown Cinemas” in the Old Town Helena Amphitheater.  Also, don’t forget that “Free Friday Flicks” has moved to Veteran’s Park in Hoover.  Listings and show times for all of these are detailed below!
