An all call for diapers

Bundles of Hope Diaper Bank is getting inundated with requests for aid from the community as the COVID-19 crisis continues. They currently provide diapers and wipes to 1,000 babies per month, and with the loss of jobs and job hours due to this pandemic, the need has rapidly skyrocketed.

Bundles of Hope is a local nonprofit that moves diapers into the hands and onto the bottoms of those that need them most. At current, they partner with 40 agencies to distribute more than 50,000 diapers per month throughout Jefferson, Shelby, Walker, and Montgomery counties.

Lindsay Gray, Executive Director of Bundles of Hope, explains. “Families are in need of diapers now more than ever. With families out of work, and children not in childcare, parents are desperately searching for how they are going to provide essentials for their little ones.”

Retail shelves are bare at this point so they are asking people to participate in a virtual diaper drive. As the preferred regional partner of the National Diaper Bank Network, they are able to purchase in bulk directly from manufacturers. The cost is just $10 per month to sponsor a baby.
