Liberty Day

The event kicks off Friday Night at 7:00pm with a live band and street celebration.  Saturday, June 28th  arts and crafts and food vendors and children’s activities will line Main Street and bands will perform until the parade at 3:30pm.

Celebrate America

Celebrate America! This is the family friendly, community Independence Day celebration at Alabaster’s Veterans Park. The city of Alabaster and Kingwood Church are once again partnering together for this annual event. This year the date and time is June 28 from 7 to 10pm.

Activities Include:

  • KidsZone
  • Inflatables & Rides (Ages 12 & under)
  • Movie in the park
  • Entertainment
  • Outdoor Laser Tag
  • Interactive Video Games
  • Food vendors

Admission: FREE

Time: 7 – 10pm

Location: Veterans Park

Remember to bring your blankets, lawn chairs, your family and appetites.

July 4th Weekend Events

There are many fun and exciting events going on for July 4th! Some of these events include Thunder on the Mountain, Independence Day Celebration with American Village, Hoover Freedom Fest and the Trussville Freedom Celebration. The city of Pelham will have their very first fireworks show with Oak Mountain State Park on July 3rd. The Birmingham Barons will have a firework spectacular show synced to Patriotic music on Saturday, June 5th after the game.

Also,  in honor of this holiday, all active and retired military and their dependents can take advantage of FREE admission to the Birmingham Zoo with proof of military I.D. from Thursday, July 3 to Sunday, July 6.

UAB will celebrate July 4 with the annual UAB Summer Band Independence Day concert on the Bartow Arena lawn. Bring picnics, blankets and chairs, and enjoy a free, family-friendly patriotic concert under the stars. Stay and watch the fireworks over Red Mountain at 9:00 pm.

Pelham Fireworks July 3rd

The city of Pelham will have their very first fireworks display in honor of the 75th anniversary of Alabama State Parks in partner with Oak Mountain State Park.

The firework display is set to begin at 9 pm.

Admission:

After 5:00pm cost will be $3 per individual or $5 a carload

Where can they be viewed?

  • Along the boat rental to the beach at Double Oak Lake
  • Pelham High School
  • Valley Intermediate School
  • Heart of Dixie Harley-Davidson
  • Pelham Civic Complex and Ice Arena
  • Peavine Falls overlook
  • Alabama Wildlife Center Park

 

Fireworks will be presented by Pyro Productions, Inc.

The fireworks display will be part of a larger Independence Day celebration at Oak Mountain State Park on July 3. Food, beverage and entertainment will all be part of the activities for the celebration.

Thunder on the Mountain at Vulcan Park & Museum

Friday, July 4 at 9 p.m.

FREE TO THE PUBLIC! RAIN OR SHINE.

Free to the public, this year’s show will last approximately 20 minutes and will feature a variety of firework shells that will brighten the sky with new colors and patterns.

The show will be choreographed to a musical soundtrack that will feature a mix of patriotic favorites and popular musical performances.
